第22回世界テコンドー選手権大会の特集記事番外編として、大会に参加した海外の師範・コーチへのインタビューをご紹介します。
第10回目はマダガスカルのRAKOTONDRAMANANA Yves Francky4段のインタビュー記事です。
大会の感想やマダガスカルでのテコンドーについてお伺いしました。

世界大会について
Yves Francky4段、インタビューにご協力くださりありがとうございます。
早速ですが、今回の世界選手権全体の感想をお聞かせください。
全体の感想としては、大会そのものが大成功に終えたというものです。カザフスタンは美しい国で、人々はとても親切です。
また、大会以外でも技術セミナーや、さまざまな国のテコンドー関係者と会う機会を含め、全体的に大満足でした。
続いて、今回の世界大会で最も印象に残っていることをお聞かせください。
今大会は非常にレベルの高い大会でした。テコンドー精神を持った選手たち、心の底から応援する観客たち、そして審判団の皆さん全員がベストを尽くしました。
今大会に参加した日本選手団の印象をお聞かせください。
私はずっと前から日本選手団のレベルの高さを目にしていました。特に2011年に平壌で黄秀一師賢に会い、日本で行われた大会の古いビデオも見ていました。
2023年になっても、私は日本チームのレベルの高さに驚いています。
特に、ベテラントゥルのレベルの高さが印象的でした。

崔泓熙総裁の遺志を継ぐことが大切だと思います。
日本はアジアだけでなく世界でも強いチームの一つです。
マダガスカルでのテコンドーについて
マダガスカルではテコンドーはどれくらい人気がありますか？
マダガスカルで非常に人気があります。
私たち公安省と協力してテコンドーを通した国家警察や特殊部隊の教育にも取り組んでいます。
マダガスカルではどの世代でテコンドーが盛んですか？
あらゆる世代がテコンドーを練習していますが、最も多いのは子供たちです。
マダガスカルについて
マダガスカルの観光地や食事について教えてください。
マダガスカルはさまざまな観光スポットがあるとても素敵な島です。
北部ではさまざまな小さな島がある素敵なビーチ（ノシベ、ノシランジャなど）
東部では 動植物 (レムリアン、カメレオン、蘭植物など)
西部では : バオバブ通り、ツィンギ石灰岩 (アジア人にとって非常に興味深いものです)
南部ではさまざまな素晴らしい風景、奇岩、砂岩
また、食べ物については、ロマザヴァ、ヴァランガ、ラヴィトト（緑色のキャッサバの葉を砕いたもの）を脂肪の多い肉とココナッツと一緒に調理したものやコバ、島の海岸ではココナッツソースを添えたシーフードが人気です。

Please tell us about your impressions of the World Championships in general.
About my impressions of the world championships in general, it was successful. Kazakhstan, is a beautiful country and population and is very kind. So, in general, it was it was succesful, include the technical Seminar and the occasion to meet all Taekwon-Do people from different countries.
Please tell us what left the biggest impression on you at this world tournament.
My impressions about world tournament, itw as a high level tournaments. Competitors in spirit of Taekwon-Do , spectators supporting with their hearts and Umpires did good works.
Please tell us your impressions of the Japanese team.
My impressions about Japanese Team, already long time ago i saw their high level. I met Master Hwang Su Il on 2011 in Pyong Yang and also saw old video of japan championships. For 2023, I still see this quality from Japanese Team. Espescially, one veteran male for pattern, i remember.
Which generation of people in your country practices Taekwondo the most?
In Madagascar, all generations are practicing Taekwon-Do but the most is Junior and children 4-5 years above.
How popular is Taekwondo as a martial art in your country?
Taekwon-Do actually is very popular in Madagascar. We are working with TFA and ITF. We also work with Ministry of Public Security to teach National Police and Special Forces. One of the martial arts people give importance.
How long have your country’s representative athletes been practicing for this world championship?
Due to our economic situation, we didn’t have competitors for the world Championships in Astana on 2023.
Please tell us about your country’s tourist attractions and recommended foods.
Madagascar is very nice island with differents tourists attractions :
In North : Nice beaches with different small islands( Nosy Be, Nosy Ranja,…)
Est : Biodiversity : Fauna and Flora (Lemurien, Cameleon, orchid plants,…)
Ouest : Baobab Avenue, Tsingy Limestone (Very interesting for asian people)
South : Different nice lanscapes, rock formations sandstones
And different customes .
About foods, We have ROMAZAVA, VARANGA, RAVITOTO (crushed green cassava leaves) cooked with fatty meat with /or coconut , Koba and as island, the coasts are more about sea foods with coconut sauces.
Please give a message to the Japanese national taekwondo team and Japanese taekwondo trainees.
The massage from myself to Japan Taekwon-Do is that we should always follow the legacy of General Choi Hong Hi. Japanese Team is one of the strong Teams in Asia and The world. We wish one day, we can have a cooperation and can share more experiences. Best wishes.
